Had Phil and his team change my battery set up to lithium, from our first conversation they were very knowledgeable and talked me through everything, answering any questions I had. Communication was very good in arranging a date to fit the new system. On the day they arrived promptly and again answered any questions, the change over was tidy and professional, I did have an issue after the installation ( not their fault) but this was promptly resolved in the same professional manner and to me that is the measure of a good company- the after sales customer care. What an amazing experience!!! Phil's designs and functionality are second to none. The whole team, Phil, Dean and Dylan were extremely professional, they made sure I understood how to use it all. We are new to boating, when I first started looking into it I found a lot of information on how it won't be possible to use a hairdryer, air fryer or washing machine, they were wrong!!! Now that we have an amazing setup of solar panels and lithium batteries, we can use it all even without the engine running + I can monitor everything from my phone. Having lived aboard our narrowboat full-time for two years we decided to replace our failing lead acid domestic batteries with a lithium set up. Whilst researching one recommend name kept cropping up “Phil Owens of Pro Electrical or @PhilSpecialist as he’s known on social media. We purchased a 7.5Kwh Boat Battery with solar PV. Phil and Dean delivered direct to our boat and also adapted out existing alternator from their onboard workshop so that it would work with the new system. After just two weeks the difference is clear. We cook on electric rather than gas and no longer have to run the engine every time we cook a meal! We can switch on electrical appliances without having to think about it… washing machine, immersion heater, oven, hob, TV etc. We no longer fret when we hit 60% of battery power (with lithium all the power is available to use. We stayed put for a couple of days and with solar topping us up we didn’t have to run the engine once. The Victon kit is all bluetooth enabled and the VRM app and widget means that I can see the status of my battery from my phone (from anywhere!) Having discharged to 24% we hit 100% after just 90 minutes cruising. Lithium with solar PV has been a game changer for us. Phil and Dean were lovely chaps too and their enthusiasm for their product is as reassuring as it is infectious. The Boat Battery is a winner. Less
